Veneers & Bonding
Two of our most popular cosmetic procedures are porcelain veneers and dental bonding using composite resin – the same tooth-colored material used in aesthetic fillings! These two treatments address several of the same concerns in different ways. They can help fix chips, cracks, misalignment, spaces between teeth, shorter teeth and much more…
The best way to determine which treatment is right for you is by calling our dental office directly and scheduling a complimentary consultation with Dr. Kaslow.
What Are Porcelain Veneers?
Porcelain veneers are thin pieces of dental porcelain (thinner than caps or crowns) that fit over only the front of your teeth. They can help someone with minor orthodontic issues (spacing or crowding), conceal yellow stains or white blotches on teeth and may last for several years. Most types of veneers require the removal of a small amount of your enamel. Dr. Kaslow will discuss these options with you and provide a recommendation of which one will give you the best results.
What Is Dental Bonding?
Dental bonding uses cosmetic resin to cover or repair flaws. The resin (similar in form to putty) is applied by Dr. Kaslow and then shaped and molded before it is cured to the tooth. Once cured, the resin matches the shade of your own natural and will last a long time. One of the benefits of dental bonding is that the process is relatively inexpensive and can be completed in less than an hour!
